Understanding through Emotions

When we feel how we want to feel, we can see more clearly, things are much simpler. But what happens when we don’t? True joy, for instance, can only be found in oneself. We should make happiness a habit, not a goal to be achieved by other means. Especially when things just seem to be hopeless, regarding bliss as a resource and not a consequence becomes very important. It enables tapping into its benefits. When we meet joy in everyday activities, life gains a whole new meaning, even through hardships.

Not only everyone thinks that happiness is something different, our very own experience of being happy varies greatly. Plus, emotions are not fixed at all, they grow and develop as we learn with experiences in an environment. Emotions in this sense make us feel connected, and connect us with making better choices: decisions aligned with our true selves.

When we are in an insightful state, we can perceive emotions as what they are, the voices driving our will. And allowing emotions mindfully feels somehow grander, natural and yet more manageable. Actually, we cannot just block emotions, not even the bad ones, at least not without cutting off this connectedness as well. The great thing is that this knowledge can always be found within. We can always make use of our affection as a means for understanding. As for happiness, it becomes then a positive attitude that pervades and surpasses circumstantial feelings. It is a conscious decision of good intent and positivity.
